come on let's start hearing some conspiracy theories about extraterrestrials!

I personally believe that the U.S. and most other governments know that extraterrestrial life is real and that the U.S. tends to suppress the information. I believe that the nation of France has recently officially come forth confirming that they have evidence of ET visitations. I think the main reason the U.S. tends to downplay the ufo phenomenon is to make us feel that there is no threat to our security. For   instance, how does  anyone know what the ultimate intent of a visitor to our planet may be? Even if we have never had an ET visitor ever in the past, how do we know that if one lands today or tomorrow, that they may not be a threat? So, I believe the agencies, whose job is national or international security, believe it is best to downplay any contact, so as not to create the belief that we may be vulnerable to a more advanced outside force. Just my humble opinion.
